Indie developer Impossible Object has updated the Kickstarter campaign for its upcoming multiplayer experience Giant vs Horde. The team has responded to fan feedback, confirming that it will add support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset for those playing on the horde side of the battle. Until now, the title had only featured Oculus Rift support for those playing as the giant.
Giant vs Horde is a unique event-based multiplayer title in which large groups of players join together to face a single player-controlled giant in space combat. Matches are held on weekends on a bi-weekly basis in which giant players use a motion capture suit located in the developer’s studio to try and swat down remaining enemies and destory mother ships. A trailer showing the added Oculus Rift support can be seen below.
The title’s currently running Kickstarter campaign is hoping to raise $50,000 USD to fund development. At the time of writing the project has made $3,761 with just over 2 weeks to go until its May 15th 2014 closing date. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress and report back with any new updates.
