Indie developer Christian Cassara has released an early version of his virtual reality (VR) puzzle title QuantaCube onto the Oculus VR Share Beta. The experience is compatible with the Oculus Rift VR headset and is available for both PC and Mac. It can be downloaded for free and comes with support for both keyboard controls as well as a Gamepad.
As can be seen in the trailer above, QuantaCube tasks players with lining up falling blocks of the same colour inside a grid. Blocks approach from the left, right and above, meaning players must use the Oculus Rift’s head tracking technology to find approach blocks and select them. Players can convert blocks of the same colour into imperishable white blocks as well as crush enemies with approaching blocks.
The developer has stressed that QuantaCube remains a work-in-progress experience. With that in mind he has encouraged players to contact him about any bugs they may encounter or with general feedback. VRFocus will continue to follow any and all VR titles and bring you the latest on them.
