Indie developer Rosebud Games has released a full gameplay trailer for its upcoming horror first-person shooter (FPS) Death in Candlewood. The new video features over 2 and a half minutes of footage from the title, which is in the last days of its Kickstarter campaign. A stretch goal for the campaign suggests that the experience could include support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset.
The trailer, seen below, provides a detailed look at many of the title’s mechanics, from driving vehicles to weapon-based action and even stealth gameplay. Death in Candlewood is an open world first-person experience in which the player battles against inhuman enemies. The development team is comprised of developers with experience on franchises like Silent Hill, The Witcher and F.E.A.R.
At the time of writing the Kickstarter campaign has raised $11,856 USD, falling short of its $60,000 goal with just 3 days left to go. Rosebud Games acknowleged the struggle in its update, saying: “Thanks for all the support, means a lot for us. This is the last week of the Kickstarter campaign, we are still a bit far away from reaching the base goal but it has been a great experience for the team.”
VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s development and report back with all the latest details.
