Publisher 505 Games has announced that it will be bringing developer Three One Zero’s upcoming space survival title ADR1FT to the market. The deal was made after the development team exhibited the immersive first-person space experience during the Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain (D.I.C.E.) Summit in January 2014. The title will come with full support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset when it launches on PC. A console release is also expected, though no word on if it will support the Project Morpheus VR headset if it comes to PlayStation 4.
ADR1FT is a survival title set in space. Players are cast as the sole survivor of a horrific accident which they struggle to remember. The player’s life support suit is damaged and they must find resources to survive as they try and piece together how the accident occurred and repair an emergency escape vehicle to get back home.
“I’m very happy to be partnering with 505 Games for ADR1FT” said Thee One Zero co-founder Adam Orth. “From the very beginning, Ian Howe and his team have passionately understood the game Omar and I are trying to make. They have empowered us with the freedom to explore and create something special with ADR1FT, both traditionally and with VR technology.”
Neither publisher nor developer has revealed when ARD1FT might see release. Until that time VRFocus will continue to follow the project and report back with all the latest.
