Ether One, the first-person adventure title from White Paper Games, is releasing today on PC. The title, which has been in development for the past few years, comes with full support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset, although can also be played with a standard monitor. It is available to purchase now through GOG for $16.99 USD, with Steam and Humble Store versions launching later today.
“Thank you all SO MUCH for the support!” the developer wrote on Twitter, “We’re excited to get it in your hands!”
Ether One casts players as a Restorer that enters the minds of the mentally handicapped and helps repair them. The title is set inside of mind of a clined named Jean. Players will explore a range of environments and solve puzzles to piece her mind back together.
For those interested in trying the title before buying it, White Paper Games will be showing Ether One off at the EGX Rezzed event in Birmingham this weekend, running from 28th – 30th March 2014. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s post-launch progress and keep you up to date.
