Developer Gaijin Entertainment has announced that it will be bringing War Thunder to this week’s EGX Rezzed event in Birmingham. The developer will be specifically showing off the Ground Forces expansion for the free-to-play title, which supports virtual reality (VR) with the Oculus Rift. The closed beta for the expansion will be on display for both the press and public to try out.
The Ground Forces expansion adds tanks to the World War 2 combat title, which currently focuses on aircraft. The closed beta to be shown off this weekend has been running for selected players since the end of 2013, with the developer hoping to launch an open beta in Spring 2014. The title will be shown off on both PlayStation 4 and PC at the event.
The EGX Rezzed show runs from 28th – 30th March at Birmingham’s NEC Centre. It’s set to show off a number of other VR titles, including HyperSloth Games’ Dream and Team Junkfish’s Monstrum. VRFocus will be at the event to try out the latest offerings and cover all the latest news.
