Developer Organic Humans has released an early version of its upcoming survival horror experience, Montas, onto the Steam Early Access program. The team stresses that this is an unfinished version of the title designed for those that want to support its ongoing development. The title supports virtual reality (VR) through use of the Oculus Rift VR headset.
Montas is a first-person title in which players set foot into a mysterious world. The title places emphasis on exploration with elements of puzzle solving. Players are cast as accountant Joseph Walker from the titular city of Montas. Walker is a distressed alcoholic that tries to uncover the secrets behind a recent series of murders as he’s haunted by his own nightmares.
Players must survive by avoiding enemies, named ‘the unknown’, through either running away or hiding from them. According to the developer, this early version won’t spoil the story of the title, so as not to ruin the final version for anyone. That said, there’s no word on when the full version will see release just yet.
Montas is available on Steam now at a price of £6.99 GBP. It’s currently only compatible with Windows. VRFocus will bring you more on the title as it happens.
