Tiny Utopia has announced the release of a playable demo of the virtual reality (VR) compatible Superbike TT as well as the upcoming launch of a crowdfunding campaign for the videogame. Superbike TT is currently in development for PC and console formats and will be playable at the SxSW event in Texas beginning tomorrow.
The demo, soon available on Oculus Share and the videogame’s official website, when played through the Oculus Rift VR headset, puts the player directly inside the role of a Superbike World League racer. The demo version is a complete representation of the intended videogame, including owning your own racing garage and the ability to build your own collection of bikes and trophies.
Tiny Utopia has developed various titles on mobile platforms, but this is the studios first foray into PC and console development. “I pretty much coming from console development from when I started making games, right now VR is the new stuff. [sic]” States Neal Nellans, CEO of Tiny Utopia Games. “We’ve released games in various genres, but our racing games continue to be popular for us and gamers.”
The demo kicks off both a crowdsourcing campaign on Kickstarter and a Greenlight campaign on Steam. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on Superbike TT and other forthcoming titles from Austin-based indie developer, Tiny Utopia.
