YEI Technologies has confirmed that its upcoming full body motion controller, PrioVR, will come with support for Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4. The company revealed as much during an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit. The kit is compatible with the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset.
PrioVR is a motion controller that straps different sensors around your body. It successfully passed its Kickstart campaign within just hours or launching, now standing at just over $250,000 USD in funding when it has initially sought $75,000. The campaign is expected to end on 31st March 2014.
Unreal Engine 4 is Epic’s next-generation videogame engine. Epic Games has already used the engine to support the Oculus Rift, including a tech demo to highlight the DK2 version of the headset. VRFocus will continue to follow the progress of the kit and all other virtural reality peripherals.
