It has been confirmed that the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset will be one show at the Gadget Show Live event in Birmingham next month. The device will be displayed alongside a range of other wearable technology, as as the Google Glass. Users will have the chance to try out the headset for themselves at the show, which runs from 9th – 13th April 2014 at the NEC Centre.
The Oculus Rift will specifically be on display at the Peugeot, Animin and Tactus stands on the show floor. It has not been announced what these companies will be showing with the device, although expect them to be running content relevant to their businesses.
It will mark one of the first public appearances for the Oculus Rift after social networking giant Facebook bought it earlier in the week for $2 billion.
