Narcosis, an underwater survival horror experience, was one of the many virtual reality (VR) compatible titles on show at the 2014 Game Developers Conference (GDC). It’s a first-person experience for the Oculus Rift VR headset in which players are involved in an accident that leaves them stranded at the bottom of the ocean. VRFocus got a chance to talk about the title with the development team’s Damien Dreveau at the show in San Francisco.
In the video above Dreveau talks about his upcoming title, where the idea came from and comparisons to Irrational Games’ popular BioShock series. The developers recently confirmed that they had been to GDC to talk with Sony about a possible PlayStation 4 version of the experience. VRFocus will continue to report on Narcosis and its development, bringing you the latest.
