The Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset has been used for more than just videogames in its short life. Just this week VRFocus has reported on using the device to simulate car crashes, while others have developed authentic sports simulations and some are even using it for the future of law enforcement. Now FIGURE Digital, a newly-launched creative agency, wants to use the technology for marketing. VRFocus recently sat down with Creative Director Joseph Kletz to talk about the company and more.
In the video above Kletz discusses why now is the right time for VR-dedicated marketing as well as his personal experiences with and passion for the technology as well as what the future holds. FIGURE Digital’s first VR campaign ran in October 2013, and let users walk through a Tesco’s supermarket in VR. The company hopes to develop many similar campaigns in the future. VRFocus will be reporting on all the latest news from the outfit.
