Indie developers Vae Victis have launched a new racing title via Steam’s Early Access programme, with the promise of adding Oculus Rift support to the videogame in the near future. Victory: The Age of Racing is promising to deliver a thrilling racing experience through multiplayer events competition with the aim of getting drivers involved in an overarching team career mode.
Victory: The Age of Racing offers the player a number of opportunities to shape their own career, pursuing the path of a driver, designer or technical director. Victory: The Age of Racing is already a fully featured multiplayer title, though the Oculus Rift support is not yet included in the current build.
“We are a small independent game studio. We didn’t design Victory based on marketing research; we did it only following our passion and to create the racing game we have always dreamed about. Thanks to Steam Early Access and player’s support, we have now the opportunity to take online racing to the next level making the game that we want and players want.” Reads the press release from Vae Victis. “Our ultimate goal is to create a sandbox racing game, where you can create your cars, tracks, championships, live events… giving players the freedom to be a racer, a technical director, a car designer, a team manager, a constructor. It’s up to Players how far we can go.”
Victory: The Age of Racing is now available via Steam’s Early Access programme with packages starting at £9.59 GBP. No release date has yet been announced for the Oculus Rift compatibility update, but of course VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details.
