Indie developer Konrad Jablonski, operating under the name CodeRad, has launched an updated version of the work-in-progress SledgeRift a virtual reality (VR) exclusive title designed to take advantage of the full range of features provided by the Oculus Rift headset. This new demonstration version is available to download now, free of charge, for anyone interested in VR videogames.
SledgeRift is a simple snow sledding videogame. The player is propelled downhill on one of a number of available sledges with the aim of collecting coins as they go. These coins will increase your speed in an event, but will also accumulate and allow you to unlock new events and sledges. SledgeRift includes both local and online leaderboards to encourage competition even at this early stage.
SledgeRift is an ongoing project developed by three team members at CodeRad and regularly updated by Jablonski. The official website for SledgeRift, including the download links for the Windows, Linux and Mac versions of the videogame, can be found here. There is also a Steam Greenlight concept page for SledgeRift. The latest trailer for SledgeRift appears below and VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest VR developments from CodeRad.
