VRFocus previously reported on Artanim’s Real Virtuality being selected as one of the three finalists at the SIGGRAPH Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques Conference and Exhibition 2015 being held on 11-13th August 2015. Artanim have now been invited to bring Real Virtuality to the Swissnex exhibition too.
Artanim worked with Kenzan Media Labs to develop an immersive platform combining a virtual space with a real one, users of the system should be able to freely move within the physical space while virtually visiting 3D interactive environments. The first demo created chose to model a Pharaoh’s tomb as a case study. Visitors are able to explore the tomb by foot, to illuminate their surroundings by holding a virtual torch and to interact with the environment.
At the Swissnex event Artanim will be showcasing two new demos of the Real Virtuality system, the first is a maze that plays with your senses and emotions and the second is a virtual performance of a contemporary dance created by the Cie Gilles Jobin in Geneva. Visitors to the event will have a chance to try the Real Virtuality system to see for themselves.

An initiative of Switzerland’s State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), managed in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs and, in San Francisco, as an annex of the Consulate General of Switzerland.
