Earlier this week Bossa Studios confirmed that its hit comedic videogame, Surgeon Simulator, would be arriving digitally on PlayStation 4 next week as Surgeon Simulator: Anniversary Edition. The updated version of the beloved title includes a mix of levels from both the PC and iPad versions of the title, with support for the Project Morpheus virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) due later down the line. Now the team has confirmed that the new edition of the title will also be coming to PC.
Bossa Studios confirmed as much with a new trailer for Surgeon Simulator: Anniversary Edition that can be seen below. Obviously this version’s main draw will be levels that were previously available on the iPad edition, including new eye and teeth transplants. There are also a total of 100 achievements to be earned. Support for the Oculus Rift VR HMD was not mentionned, though it is avaiable in the original version of the title.
As for those that already own the first version of Surgeon Simulator, the developer confirmed that these players can upgrade to the new edition via paid downloadable content (DLC) for a reduced price. The title will arrive on Steam on 14th August 2014. VRFocus will continue to follow Surgeon Simulator going forward, reporting back with any further updates on its development.
