Videogame publisher Bandai Namco has today confirmed its line-up for the upcoming Gamescom 2014 event in Cologne, Germany on 13th – 17th August. While the companies line-up includes the likes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Rise of Incarnates, it revealed that Project CARS, the virtual reality (VR) racing title from Slightly Mad Studios that it is distributing will in fact be on display at Sony Computer Entertainment’s (SCE) booth.
Project CARS, which is set to feature support for the Project Morpheus VR head-mounted display (HMD) on PlayStation 4 as well as the Oculus Rift HMD on PC, can be found at booth C020 in hall 5.2. The title was also shown at SCE’s booth during E3 2014. It’s not clear just what content Project CARS will be showing off at the event; could we perhaps see it running in VR for the first time?
Project CARS is a racing simulation title that allows players to take part in a wide variety of races or focus on a specific type. Earlier in the week the title revealed more information about is weather system. It will be heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in November 2014, with a Wii U version set to arrive later on. VRFocus will continue to follow the title going forward, reporting back with any more updates.
