Indie developer Octagon Interactive released its massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS) Beasts of Prey in Early Access form last week. It marks a surprisingly quick turnaround for the title, which only passed its Steam Greenlight campaign in May 2014. Now the developers have released a launch trailer for the title, featuring plenty of new gameplay footage. The trailer can be seen in full below.
Just over two minutes of footage is shown in the clip, which lists Beasts of Prey‘s various features. It gives us a look at the title’s randomly generated maps, complete with a full day and night cycle, as well as a glimpse of how its crafting and creation systems work. There’s also a momentary peek of the crossbow weapon that players can create, though no sign of the dinosaurs that roman the videogame’s environments.
Those interested can pick up Beasts of Prey at the discounted price of £21.59 GBP before 12th June 2014 where the price will increase to £26.99. It is availabe on PC and Mac with full compatibility for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset. The developers plan to keep the title in Early Access stages for no longer than six months. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress leading up to a full launch, reporting back with all the latest.
