Upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible online title XViREnt has officially passed its Kickstarter campaign. The MMO was looking for $8,000 CAD to help fund development of the beta and user generated content tools, but has passed that goal a few days before the campaign’s conclusion on 20th April 2014. Developer InEvoWare Game Studios has also released a new video for the title, which can be seen below. It gives a brief glimpse of the development process, looking a lip syncing.
“A heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in funding and spreading the word about our Kickstarter campaign,” the developer wrote in a Kickstarter update. “It was a lot of work, but we made it!
“As you all know by now, Kickstarter is not our primary source of funding, however, every little bit helps, and this Kickstarter achieved its core goals: bringing in new, fresh blood who’ve never played InEvoWare’s previous game (The King of Spades), and to attract new developers on board. Currently, we’re even chatting with a developer who’s interested in creating a “Solar System space tours” type of game in XViREnt.”
XViREnt is an MMO that comes with support for the Oculus Rift VR headset. Players are able to travel between different worlds, each with their own settings, themes, enemies and missions and well as visit a home hub to interact with friends and more. The title is planning to launch an open beta in February 2015. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress and report back with all the latest.
