A Chinese developer has released a demo for a unique horror title onto the Oculus VR Share Beta. The title translates to 100 Floors Horror Elevator, and it features support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset. The demo can be downloaded for free on PC. No Mac version is available, although specs for the platform have been listed, suggesting it might be released at a later date.
100 Floors Horror Elevator is, as the name suggests, a horror experience in which players must endure 100 floors of terrors. The higher the player goes, the more intense the atmosphere and frightening the scenes get. The demo offers 9 of these levels at the time of writing, though the developer has said that he will be developing and adding more in the future.
The developer also described getting the Oculus Rift as a ‘very exciting’ prospect, stating that it ‘put energy into the development’ of the title. It apparently took a month to implement the headset into the title. VRFocus will continue to follow the progress of any and all VR experiences and report back with the latest.
