The Annual Game Marketing Summit has announced its lineup of speakers for this year’s event, including a talk concerning virtual reality (VR) by CNET’s Brian Cooley. The event will be held in San Francisco, California on 23rd April 2014, where it will be celebrating its ninth year. It will also host talks from representatives of Xbox, PlayStation, Ubisoft and many more.
Cooley’s talk is titled ‘Tomorrow’s Trends, Today: Get Ahead of the Curve’ and will focus on new VR technologies. This includes the PlayStation 4’s Project Morpheus VR headset, the Oculus Rift headset for PC and the Glyph headset. Given that this is a marketing summit you can expect the talk to concern how the business side of the industry should react to VR technology’s arrival instead of new videogames etc.
The Game Marketing Summit will take place at the Yerba Buena Center. Interested parties can register to attend at the event’s official website, though it is stressed that remaining spaces are limited. VRFocus will continue to follow any and all VR news and bring it to you.
