Cloudhead Games has revealed that its upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible title, The Gallery: Six Elements, will be on show this week at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2014. The title, which is thought to be launching soon, supports VR through use of the Oculus Rift headset.
The Gallery: Six Elements is a first-person adventure title in which players explore the titular setting. It’s a supernatural setting with portals to 6 different elements: air, fire, water, earth, love and death. Players must overcome puzzles and challenges in order to escape The Gallery.
GDC will show off the title’s proprietary VR Comfort Mode. Developed by Cloudhead Games, this mode is aimed at making a comfortable VR experience for seated players. It’s designed to help both new and fully acclimated VR users. It will be on display at booth 2515.
The title comes with support for motion controllers such as the Razer Hydra. A Kickstarter campaign for the title was successful completed in April 2013, which the estimated delivery date set at March 2014. It’s currently unknown if this date will still be met although perhaps confirmation will come at this week’s show, which runs from 17th – 21st March 2014.
