Developer Nexy Media has confirmed that its first-person survival videogame, Atajrubah, has officially passed Steam’s Greenlight program. The title, which is set in the Middle East, launched its campaign on 22nd January 2014. It also has a currently running Kickstarter which, at the time or writing, is yet to reach its $10,000 USD goal.
Atajrubah is inspired by the likes of Minecraft and comes with full support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset. The title translates from Arabic to ‘Experience’. It features an opn world for players to explore complete with a 30 player online mode in which players can craft, trade and fight against or with each other.
“Thank you so much for supporting this project and seeing the potential it has,” the developer wrote on its official Steam page. “We know that we have a lot to prove, the road ahead will be filled with challenges but with your continued support we know we can make it!”
Nexy Media hopes to launch the beta for Atajrubah in February 2015. The team stressed that it still has a long way to go leading up to release. VRFocus will continue to follow the project and report back with any more news.
